Mule Canyon is a cluster of ancestral Anasazi ruins located in the Shash Jaa Unit near Blanding Utah. The well preserved Anasazi ruins found at this site are over 700 years old. The ruin complex includes above-ground and under-ground dwellings: a kiva and tower which have been excavated and stabilized as well as a block of twelve rooms. 

Near the end of the most prominent section of Comb Ridge lies a multi-story dwelling one inhabited by Ancestral Puebloan's. The various room rooms, granaries and kivas were once home to multiple groups or clans, Located in the Shash-Jaa Section of Bears Ears National Monument 

Valley of the Gods is one of our favorite hidden gems. Compared often to the nearby Monument Valley, guests are blown away by the large buttes, isolated pinnacles and large mesa walls that surround the entire valley. Exploring Valley of the Gods doesn't require a guide or permit. It is available for biking, hiking, camping, and driving. 

Of all the archaeology sites within Bears Ears National Monument, many hikers consider Moon House to be among the best sites to behold. Moon House is a well-preserved site, made up of three separate dwellings. These dwellings have a total of 49 rooms,

Built around an existing Anasazi village, Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum serves as the primary repository for archaeological materials excavated from public lands in southeast Utah. It is also home to the largest collection of Anasazi pottery and artifacts on the West Coast. It also serves as a Bears Ears Education Center. 

Hiking in Bears Ears National Monument is far different from hiking in national parks or other better established national monuments. Bears Ears is home to some of the nation's best backcountry hiking and exploring. Be sure to research your hike before venturing off into these vast areas.
